We are so excited about our new website design! Many thanks to Ben and Andy LaValley at Northern Computer and Technology for launching us into the 21st Century with such a stylish new look. We are hoping the new design will be more user-friendly as well as stylish. We are continuing to update and change it as we learn how to use the new software. Please give us your feedback! Is there anything you think we need to change? E-mail Mrs. O’Neill at email@example.com with your ideas!

Love Is Our Mission: The Family Fully Alive
In several weeks, Pope Francis will be visiting the US. During his visit in Philadelphia, there will be a World Meeting of Families. What exactly is WMF? “Since its inception by Saint John Paul II in 1994, the World Meeting of Families has strengthened the sacred bonds of families across the globe. Held every three years and sponsored by the Holy See’s Pontifical Council for the Family, the World Meeting of Families is the world’s largest Catholic gathering of families. Each World Meeting of Families has a theme that energizes and enlivens the event while adding great depth of meaning to our understanding of families. The theme of the World Meeting of Families – Philadelphia 2015 is “Love Is Our Mission: The Family Fully Alive,” emphasizing the impact of the love and life of families on our society.” For more information, click here.
We are so excited about the Pope’s visit to the U.S.! Our teachers have been streaming video of the pontiff’s visit to the White House, Congress and the United Nations during classes, allowing students to witness firsthand these historical events. As the World Meeting of Families continues in Philadelphia this weekend click here for more information, as well as streaming video, of events!
If you would like a fun way to help out at TCS while getting to know other parents, please join us for our first Parent Teacher Connection (PTC) meeting on September 15 at 6:30 pm in the Dining Hall (please note the change of location). Our PTC helps out with events such as our Halloween party, Massena Winter Carnival parade, Catholic Schools’ Week, and Play Day.
Believe it or not, it won’t be long before trick or treat time again. TCS parent, Frank Greco, would like to bring back our Haunted Hallway…BUT HE NEEDS HELP! In order to pull this off, Frank needs a co-chairperson to help organize. He also needs Halloween items like costumes, props, orange, white, black, and strobe lights, and a fog machine…AND someone who can help him make props. If you would like to help in any way, please call the school office, or if you are interested in hearing more about this fun event, please attend our first PTC meeting on September 15 at 6:30 pm in the Dining Hall.
It’s that time of year where we need to keep a look out for those little critters….lice! Please take a look at this link from the American Academy of Dermatology to see how to see the signs and symptoms of lice, as well as the best ways to treat it. We will keep this link on our nurse’s page all year long…just in case!
Picture day will be a little earlier than usual this year! WMF Photography will be visiting on Wednesday, September 30. Order forms will be coming home soon, but you can also order pictures by clicking here and using the Online Login Key A14135.
