 Roaring 20’s  Gala

It is with a heavy heart that Trinity Catholic School’s Roaring 20’s Gala, rescheduled to be held June 6th, has been cancelled.  We know that many were looking forward to this event, as much as we were. However, with the ever changing plans and restrictions, our first priority is to make sure the members in our community stay safe and healthy.  We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We do plan on keeping the same theme next year.  We would like to thank all our sponsors and everyone who worked tireless to get this event in order. We look forward to being able to celebrate together at this event next year.

Starting next Monday, April 20th, meal distribution will be reduced to one day per week. Meals will be available on Mondays.

As the situation with COVID-19 evolves and directives change at the State level, our plans must adapt too. To that end, The Massena Central School district will be altering its schedule for the distribution of free breakfast and lunch to all children under 18.

Some yearbook news from Mrs. O’Keefe.

Yearbooks are here! They have been delivered to the student members of the Yearbook Club first. Extra yearbooks are also available for $24 each on a first come basis, as there is a limited amount. Thank you for the hard work of the yearbook staff especially as they had to finish working on this at home in addition to their regular classwork. Thank you to Jordan DuBray, Chase Cameron, Mackenzie Oldenburgh, Carson Roberts, Hailey Boulais, Christopher Boyea, Lillian Fregoe, Andrew David, Kate Finnegan, Sadie Fent, Jocelyn White & Emme Delisle for all of your hard work and dedication in creating this beautiful keepsake for all of your schoolmates.

All St. Lawrence County schools will close as precaution against
COVID-19

All St. Lawrence County Schools will close as a precaution against spread of COVID-19

Due to the State of Emergency declared by the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators, and in consultation with St. Lawrence County and St. Lawrence Public  Health, the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES and its 18 school districts have made a  unanimous decision to close school immediately until at least April 20th.

The districts, in collaboration with Public Health, will reevaluate the return of staff and students prior to the 20th to determine whether or not it is safe to return. On Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17, and Wednesday, March 18, the districts will be closed so that custodial and maintenance staff can disinfect the buildings. Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, all faculty and staff should report at usual time and location to discuss planning moving forward.

Beginning Monday, March 23rd, districts will provide breakfast and lunch to students aged 18 and under. Details about the process and procedures for food distribution will be forthcoming.

This decision is a purely preemptive measure to prevent an outbreak of COVID-19 in our community. As of March 14 at the time of this writing, there are no confirmed cases in St. Lawrence County. However, the Department of Public Health has advised that the best action the districts can take to prevent the spread of this illness in our community is to limit social interaction.

An important message from Mrs. Giroux and Massena Central Superintendent Pat Brady will be going home today. This is in regards to the procedures that both Trinity Catholic and Massena Central will be following with guidance from the St. Lawrence County Department of Health. Will we update our parents with any changes.

Come and join Trinity Catholic School as we go back in time to the era of the “Roaring 20’s.” Enjoy an evening of elegance, exquisite cuisine, fabulous entertainment, live and silent auctions, and a chance at treasure boxes filled with amazing prizes. This year we are thankful for the
opportunity to honor Pat Frary from Philips Memorial Home and Chad Green from Donaldson’s and Seymore Funeral Homes and their families for their past and continuous generosity and support to Trinity Catholic School.

Governor Cuomo has extended the New York State Pause until May 15th. This will mean that Trinity Catholic School will remain closed until then. We will continue to update if anything changes. You all are in our continued prayers and we miss seeing you.
