Zumbathon Zo Zuccessful!

We are so appreciaZumbathon 2tive to everyone who made our Totally 80’s Zumbathon such a great success!  Many thanks to organizers and parents, Monica Boyea and Sarah Tsibulsky and their great crew for putting together a wonderful night of fun and fitness.  Their efforts raised over $5000 for our school and gave over 100 people a night they won’t soon forget!

Basketball Tourney a Blast

Thank you to everyone who made our recent North Country Catholic Classic Basketball Tournament IMG_2287such a success!  It took the organization and helping hands of many teachers, parents and volunteers to pull it off.  We are grateful to TCS PE teacher and coach, Mr. Oldenburgh, and everyone who made the trek from Augustinian in Watertown, St. James in Governeur, and St. Mary’s in Canton.  We are proud of everyone who played, but special congratulations to tourney winners: Girls – Augustinian and Boys – Trinity Catholic.

There has been an exciting change as to how we are running our “Soup”er Bowl this year!  Instead of our classes competing AGAINST each other, we would like to encourage COOPERATION with each other in working toward a common goal.  Therefore, as a school, we are going to work toward these milestones:

500 Items:  Each teacher rewards their class with an extra recess, etc.  GOAL MET!!!!!

1250 Items:  Jean Day for All  GOAL MET!!!!!  – Jersey and JEAN day will be Friday, 2/5!

2016 Items:  Movie and Popcorn Afternoon – as of 8:45 AM on 2/4, we need only 4 more items!

Although the motivation to encourage students to bring in items may have changed, the result is still the same: a win-win situation!  We will help the needy in our community, and our St. Vincent de Paul Society will have nicely-stocked shelves to feed our Massena neighbors.
