Digital-CitizenshipPARENT MEETING – DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP

Three of our teachers, Miss Brush, Mrs. LaValley and Mrs. O’Keefe, are on a diocesan-wide Digital Citizenship Research and Implementation Committee which is designed to teach students grades Pre-K — 12 the importance of using their morals and values while they are online, while explaining exactly how to do that.  On Tuesday, October 17, these three teachers will be doing a presentation to explain what Digital Citizenship is and how it affects our children.  We invite you to join us for this meeting at 6:00 pm, visit the Book Fair at 6:30, and then stay for an important Halloween Party Planning PTC meeting at 7:00.    Refreshments WILL be provided!


Trinity Celebrates Red Ribbon Week

Trinity is participating in Red Ribbon Week October 23-27 in order to educate students about the dangers of drug use.  Students may wear fun clothing each day to go along with the daily theme.  Tuesday is PEACE OUT TO DRUGS DAY, where students wear tie dye or peace sign t-shirts.  Students may wear red on Wednesday which is OUTRAGEOUS RED DAY.  Thursday is TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS DAY, where students may wear their favorite team shirt.  Finally, Friday is JEAN DAY and SOCK IT TO DRUGS DAY, where students may wear crazy, silly, colorful socks.  We encourage all of our students to participate in these fun days in unity with Massena’s public schools.

SHARE THE WISDOM DAY

WisdomOur annual Grandparents/Share the Wisdom Day will be Thursday, October 19.  Students may invite a guest to participate in a prayer service, work on a fun project together, go to the Book Fair, and have their picture taken together.  These guests may be grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, or friends of the family.  Students should be in school at the normal time, between 8:15 and 8:30, but Grandparents/ Share the Wisdom Day will begin at 9:00 and end at 11:30This IS a half day of school.  All students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM. This is always an exciting day for our children.  They are anxious to share with others all they are learning at Trinity Catholic School. Please note: Extended Day Care WILL NOT be available on this day.

Please join us for our Wild Wild West Scholastic Book Fair,  October 16-19.  Come round up a good book Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 – 4:00, with extended hours on Tuesday from  6:30 – 7:15. Thursday hours are 8:30 – 12:00.  If you wish, you can saddle up and buy your favorite student a great book from the comfort of home by going to an online fair from October 9 – October 27.  Books will be delivered to Trinity at no cost to you.


MOONLIT BEACHPainting Class to Benefit TCS Music Department
PLEASE NOTE:  due to extenuating circumstances, Wilson Bickford’s painting class has been changed from October 14 to October 25 from 5:30 – 9:30.  Spots are still available if you’re already missing summer’s moonlit beaches and would like to create your own memory of them.  Mr. Bickford will provide all supplies and his instruction to help you create your own “Moonlit Beach” painting. Cost is $60 per person and will benefit our Music Department. Please call the school office at 315-769-5911 to reserve your spot soon!

Spaghetti Dinner to Benefit Trinity Cafeteria
Please join Trinity for a delicious Spaghetti Dinner to benefit their cafeteria on Sunday, October 8 in the school’s dining hall from 2 PM until all is sold out. Dinners are $7 for adults, $5 for children or $20 for a family of 4. World famous peanut butter bars will also be available for $1.25 each. Please call 315-764-0012 with questions or for take out!
